TACNITI - A SPRING BOARD TO JAPAN  

We are a core group of AOTS alumni who underwent the PIDE (Program for Indian Entrepreneurs) formed a Chamber of Trade and Industry to function as a bridge between Japanese & Indian industries with a main focus on the SME Sector known as TACNITI. TACNITI was established in March 2009 and is registered with Government of Tamilnadu under the Society’s act.

TACNITI acts as the spring board support for all government initiatives as a knowledgeable intermediate organization between India and Japan. TACNITI lives by the motto "Together we can succeed" and contributes significantly to socio-economic development and capacity building in several fields. It acts as a catalyst in the promotion of industry, trade and entrepreneurship; and it aims to match the high technical caliber of Japanese SME and skilled manpower of Indian SME.



 

TACNITI WAS FORMED TO

Promote co-operation, friendship and understanding among the business circles of the India and Japan with greater focus on SME sector.
Promote business and trade between India and Japan.
Organize trade missions and industrial visits to Japan and to receive similar missions from Japan.
 

WITH TACNITI’S NETWORKING


  • With both Japan and India’s economy depending on SME Sector, the need for understanding Japanese language, culture and the importance of networking is being felt now, more than ever before.
  • TACNITI focuses its efforts in supporting and encouraging the members to be more involved in exporting their products. To achieve this, TACNITI will provide necessary industry data, using the network of AOTS and AOTS alumni association to bring counterpart entrepreneurs from other countries; more so from Japan. Currently, we have around 50 companies registered as members.
  • Also, TACNITI will coordinate with organizations like JETRO and Prefectural Governments to bring closer tie-ups between SMEs of Tamilnadu and the respective Prefectures’ SMEs.
 

TACNITI’S ROLE & OBJECTIVES

To represent the members of the Association in all matters pertaining to their common interest before Governmental and Quasi-Governmental authorities in relation to their rights, privileges and assets owned by the members of the Society.

To arrange lectures, exhibitions, symposiums, conferences, receiving and taking missions to/from Japan and other AOTS alumni countries.

To encourage by awarding rewards, prizes etc. for their meritorious work for promoting India-Japan business trade.

To work together, whenever needed, with any Japanese organization when they organize any business delegation to Tamilnadu or want to take a business delegation with participants from Tamilnadu to Japan.

To provide industry reports in any of the sectors as needed. Presently, we provide business buyers’ report along with GIIP Global Advisory and Accounting Firm (HQ in Hiroshima) for JETRO, Chennai.

To bring out informative bulletins, guides, magazines, pamphlets for the benefits of members and others.

To work as a link pin between large scale Industries of Tamilnadu and the SMEs of Tamilnadu.

To provide orientation and pre-departure training in collaboration with ABK - AOTS DOSOKAI, for companies sending their staff to Japan for training.

To provide Japanese language and business culture training to industries in Tamilnadu and other Indian states in collaboration with ABK - AOTS DOSOKAI, TAMILNADU CENTER.

To provide as a link between various SMEs in Tamilnadu to those counterpart organizations in Japan and vice versa.

To work closely with other professional organizations like CII, ACMA, FICCI etc.

To provide Japanese Gemba related training for quality and productivity improvement for Indian workforce in Japanese Companies in Tamilnadu.
